Maryland Heppplewhite mahogany and maple veneer two-part secretary bookcase, ca. 1800, with butler's desk, 77 1/2" h., 37 1/2" w. Property sold with the approval of the trustees of the Philadelphia Museum of Art to benefit acquisition funds.
3" loss to corner of cornice, repaired break to foot facing, minor age cracks to veneer, interior brass replaced, lacking keeper for lock, very minor veneer loss and patches, top and bottom by association.
