Scarce Marklin painted tin clockwork musical carousel, ca. 1910, with three embossed tin vis-à-vis chariots and three galloping horses, around a central floral painted column with internal mechanism and hinged box enclosing the musical comb, retaining the original cloth canopy with fringed tassel border, the base with a hand crank activated musical wheel which is grooved to attach as a steam toy accessory, 13 1/2'' h., 10'' dia. Paint loss on base sides, small tear in canopy, some paint loss and spotting on column, mechanism does not engage
