Manheim, Pennsylvania Chippendale walnut tall case clock, late 18th c., the broken arch bonnet enclosing a 30-hr. works, signed "John Heinselman Manheim", over a case with arched door and paneled base, 89" h.
Condition
Parts: two small counterweights and chain. Painted dial with Heinselman signature, gilt outlined floral spandrels and moonphase in very fine condition with period blued cut steel hands. Movement complete with calendar drive. Fine clean face. Fine old finish, may be original. Plinths and finials appear original. Examples of Heinselman clocks are illustrated in "Clockmakers of Lancaster County" by Wood, Kramer, and Snyder. We do not guarantee the working condition of clocks.
