Mahogany tall case clock, ca. 1890, retailed by J.E. Caldwell & Co. with German chiming works, 100" h. Manufacturer unknown. No crank. Scratch just below the hood at 6 o'clock. Wear to front edges of feet. Nine bells. Bells appear to be in good condition. No serial or model numbers on the movement or case. Movement is original to case. Center finial - dowel is broken. Small loss to tip of one finial. No apparent repairs or replacements. No documents or provenance accompany this lot.
