Louis Vuitton leather hat trunk, serial number 176897, retaining a fine beaver top hat, bearing a Locke & Co. Hatters St James Street London label, one side of the trunk with a White Star Line State Room sticker, 16 1/2" h., 15" w., 13 3/4" d. Provenance: Collection of Ambassador Robert and Mayrose Hupe-Strausz.
Hat interior circumference - approx. 22 1/4". Additional lock and clasp was removed from front. Sporadic wear. Hat in excellent condition.
