Lehigh County, Pennsylvania painted dower chest dated 1785, inscribed "Sofia Refinger", the front decorated with two green sponge hearts, each with three pinwheels on a yellow and orange sponge ground with interlacing circle border, above two drawers supported by bracket feet, 30" h., 49" w.
