Large Pennsylvania hooked Domestic Zoo rug by Magdalina Briner, ca. 1870, with a multitude of animals, 45" x 115". This may be the largest Briner rug extant.
Unframed. Minor staining. Minor frayed areas to animals and background. Thin spots. Top edge clamped between two pieces of molding. Provenance: Lots 114 - 272 are from a large Pennsylvania estate.
