Large Native American Indian flaked hoe found along the Susquehanna river, 8" l., 4 1/4" w., this hoe was found by Robert Swope, Jr. and is featured in his book, Indian Artifacts of the East and South, page 115, a copy accompanies this lot.

Condition

Stone retains an old label with location of find and a collection number in white ink. Provenance: very large private Virginia collection.
