Lancaster, Pennsylvania painted seed box, late 19th c., attributed to Henry Lapp, inscribed on backboard Sarah Lapp Susie Ebersol 1885, 12" h., 7 1/2" w. Illustrated in McCauley, Decorative Arts of the Amish, page 134.
Minor age crack to backboard. Small losses to corners of drawers. Nice dry surface. Provenance: The Collection of The People’s Place, Good’s Enterprises, Intercourse, Pennsylvania.
