Lancaster, Pennsylvania Hepplewhite mahogany slant front desk, ca. 1800, the fall front enclosing a dramatic interior with satinwood valances, tambour prospect door, and side drawer covers, above a case with 4 line inlaid drawers flanked by chamfered stiles, above a scalloped skirt with eagle inlay supported by flaring French feet, retaining its original eagle brasses and an old crazzed? finish, 46" h., 41 1/4" w.
Missing escutcheon. Brasses original. Sporadic cracks and repairs to feet. Veneer flakes to skirt, patches to cock beading.
