Lancaster County, Pennsylvania Queen Anne walnut tall case clock dated 1755, the flat top bonnet enclosing a thirty hour works with painted iron dial, pewter chapter ring, and spandrels, over a door inlaid
Anno 1755, above a marquetry bird perched in a flowering tree arising from an urn, above a raised panel base supported by bun feet. While the red dial is typical of works by the Hoff workshop, the early dates suggest that these works are probably attributed to Mollinger, 93 3/4" h.
Condition
Small losses to inlaid bird on door. Small losses to side panels of bonnet. Feet replaced. Base molding replaced. Two half round moldings on back side of base replaced. Pook & Pook, Inc. does not guarantee clocks to be complete or in working condition.
