Lancaster County, Pennsylvania painted poplar dower chest dated 1787, the lift lid over a dovetailed case with 3 recessed tombstone panels with potted flower decoration on an ivory ground flanked by molded stiles with a red painted case supported by turned ball feet, 22 1/2" h., 47 1/4" w.
