Lancaster County, Pennsylvania painted dower chest dated 1795 by the Embroidery artist, the lid with typical sawtooth border panel surrounded by florettes over a case with a large ivory panel decorated with tulip vines, pomegranates, etc., inscribed "Catharina Mauren", supported by bun feet, 22 3/4" h., 50" w.
