Joseph Tonks (Boston, Massachusetts) percussion half stock bench rifle, approximately .40 rifled caliber, having set triggers, with packtong crescent buttplate, trigger guard and oval patch box, the lock inscribed J. Tonks maker Boston false muzzle and tang sight, 30 1/2'' octagonal barrel minus the 7/8'' false muzzle.
Very good overall condition with all metal bright, rear sight is missing but does have an ornate and unique adjustable tang sight, lock is functional.
