John Ford (Dauphin/Lebanon County Pennsylvania), flintlock long rifle, approximately .50 caliber, converted to percussion, the barrel flat inscribed J. Ford, having a walnut stock with cross hatch carved wrist, an engraved three-piece rooster head patchbox, the lock engraved with two pheasants, 38 1/2" octagonal barrel.
Good overall condition, all metal turning brown, 1" repair to left stock at nose cap, 1" crack at right lock plate forward, heel has been repaired.
