John Armstrong signed handwritten letter, dated 4th April 1779, to Jacob Weed, asking for help in regards to his finances, 9 1/4'' x 8 1/2''. John Armstrong was a Continental officer and statesman who was a delegate to the Continental Congress, U.S. Senator from New York, and Secretary of War.
