Johann Conrad Gilbert (Southeastern Pennsylvania, late 18th/early 19th c.), vibrant Albany Township, Berks County, ink and watercolor on laid paper fraktur birth certificate for Eliesabeth Kunkel, dated 1815, the central script flanked by two trumpeting male angels with striped coats and stylized flowers in bright shades of yellow, red, green and blue, 8" x 13 1/4". Pictured in The Kunkel Family Fracturs by the Reading Museum.
Contemporary frame. Very minor foxing. Minor small edge tears. Very vibrant. Not examined out of frame.
