Johann Conrad Gilbert (Southeastern Pennsylvania, late 18th/early 19th c.), watercolor and ink on paper taufschein, done for Johan Peter Frack, 1791, Dauphin County, with red and black script flanked by colorful stylized red, green, and yellow male angels, surmounted by a red and green stylized crown, 8 1/2" x 13". For a similar example, see Pennsylvania German Fraktur of the Free Library of Philadelphia, plate 75.
Some foxing and stains. Small losses along center fold line. 2" x 1" patch to bottom edge. Some fading of script. Not examined out of frame.
