Condition
Period frame. Relined. Minor touch-up, mostly to craquelure around head. Sitter is Mrs. George Hopson Krug (b. 1786, d. 1834). Pictured and described in Rebecca Beal's book Jacob Eicholtz 1776-1842, p. 129, #435 and illustrated on p. 322. No signature visible through the relining, but Beal's book states that there is a faint signature on the back in the lower left. Provenance: private PA collection.
