(Joseph) Douglass Huntington County, Pennsylvania flintlock long rifle, approximately .40 caliber, tiger maple stock with thirty-one engraved German silver geometric inlays, including an eagle on cheek rest, engraved brass patch box, trigger guard and crescent butt plate, the lock inscribed Golcher, with engraved pheasant and foliate scrolls, set trigger, barrel flat inscribed J. Douglass, centered by foliate scroll engraving which is repeated at rear and front sight, the barrel also inscribed Smith & Davenport Worcester Mass. Cast Steel on left barrel flat, 40" octagonal barrel.
