J. Henry & Son brass mounted two band percussion rifle, .58 caliber, with a brass patch box, made in the style of the Remington Zouave rifle, but with an ovoid trigger guard, the lock inscribed J. Henry & Son, 35'' round barrel, together with a Justice marked saber bayonet stamped 24 on the brass grip, 21 3/4'' blade.
There are no US proofs or acceptance marks on the barrel or stock. The barrel is bright. The stock has a chip and a crack to the rear of the lock and a 6.5" crack running from the rear lock screw to the barrel. There are numerous dents to the upper wrist. The ramrod is a modern replacement. Purchasers of firearms must comply with all state and federal regulations governing their purchase, registration and transportation.
