Indiana painted cherry chest of drawers, dated 1874, inscribed Lydia Bender, retaining its original stenciled decoration on a red ground, a 19th c. Mt. Ayr newspaper remains affixed to the top of the chest., 48 1/2" h., 38 1/2" w. Provenance: The Collection of Edson J. Brown and Ross M. Trump, Medina, Ohio.
Good condition with minor wear. Lacking two escutcheons. Newspaper has been dried onto top of chest.
