Indiana navy blue and white jacquard coverlet by William Craig, Jr., the corner blocks inscribed "W. Craig, Greensburg, DC. Co. IA, 1850", the bottom and top borders with leafless trees, menorahs, and cornucopias, the sides with flowers and willow trees shadowing a tiny farmer, cow, and farm house, 89" x 70". This lot is pictured in Coverlets by Melinda Zongor and Joseph D. Shein, pgs. 150 and 151.
Overall very good condition. Minor loss to top edge at joint. Some fringe and very minor edge loss. A few small stains. A few small losses to blue.
