Indiana navy blue and white jacquard coverlet by Samuel Balantyne, the corner blocks inscribed "S. Balantyne 1847", the borders decorated with birds, buildings, and flowers, the interior with floral medallions and connecting bars, 91" x 77". This lot is pictured in Coverlets by Melinda Zongor and Joseph D. Shein, pgs.134 and 135.
Overall very good condition. Minor stains. Some minor loss to top edge and some small losses to blue.
