Important Southeastern Pennsylvania Queen Anne line and berry inlaid walnut chest of drawers, ca. 1740, with two over three drawers supported by straight bracket feet, 39" h., 39" w. This chest is one of only a few that exhibit this decoration on their tops and is a rare survival of this desirable traditon, primarily from Chester and Delaware counties. A related example is illustrated in Worldly Goods, figure 191. This is an early example featuring a divided two-part case and bun feet, but the scrolling vines and tulip decoration is quite similar.
