Important set of 6 Delaware Valley William & Mary ladderback side chairs, ca. 1740, each with 5 slat back, rush seat, and turned legs joined by a bold medial stretcher, retaining an early Spanish brown surface with yellow pinstriping. Illustrated in American Antiques From The Israel Sack Collection, vol. VII, pg.1767. Provenance: Israel Sack.
Rush seats are early replacements. Overall excellent condition.
