Important Reading, Pennsylvania Chippendale carved cherry tall case clock, ca. 1800, the broken arch bonnet with floral carved tympanum enclosing an eight-day works with a painted face, inscribed Rose & Little Reading, above a case with blind fretwork and vine carved quarter columns supported by bracket feet, 102 1/2" h. Archibald Little worked with Daniel Rose until leaving the partnership. This clock represents a rare collaboration between Little and Berks County's most famous clockmaker.

Condition

Parts: pendulum, two weights, winder. Finials and cartouche replaced. Touch-up to numbers on dial. Crack to lower panel. Some repairs and patches to feet. Pook & Pook, Inc. does not guarantee clocks to be complete or in working condition.
