Important Lancaster, Pennsylvania Federal mahogany musical tall case clock, ca. 1815, the broken arch bonnet enclosing an eight-day works with eleven bells playing seven tunes, the face inscribed Martin Shreiner Lancaster No. 250, over a highly figured case with chamfered corners and French feet, 94'' h. This clock was purportedly made for his own personal use and descended directly in his family until purchased by the present owner. It also has the unique feature of retaining its original winder having the matching number of 250 and dated 1815. Provenance: Martin Shreiner, Sr., 1769-1866; Martin Shreiner, Jr., 1803-1879; Henry Michail Shreiner, 1832-1919; Elmer Eithworth, 1861-; Henry Martin, 1889-1959.

Condition

Parts: pendulum, three weights, and a winder. Overall excellent original condition. Small chip to foot. Flake to face where post is attached. Pook & Pook, Inc. does not guarantee clocks to be complete or in working condition.
