History of the Quakers, William Sewell, 1774, signed by Thomas Garrett. Garrett was an American abolitionist and leader in the Underground Railroad movement before the American Civil War. He was a close friend of Harriet Tubman and his Delaware estate was a stop on the Underground Railroad. Garrett's signature has been authenticated by the Delaware Historical Society.
