High condition Sharps New model 1863 rifle, .40 caliber, with case hardened receiver, hammer and simple patch box, blued barrel, walnut stocks, sling swivels, rear ladder sight, saber type lug, inspector stamp AWM on underside of fore stock, 1 of 1000 made at the end of the war, 30'' barrel. SN# C47938
Condition
Barrels exhibits 95% blue, strong case colors on receiver, backstrap, hammer, patch box, and primer cover, bright bore with strong rifling, very good walnut stocks, with original ramrod.
