George Hay was a member of 8th Co., 5th battalion, Philadelphia militia, and later commissioned to 2nd Lieut. in the 2nd Company, 1st Reg. in the York County Militia in 1794 and Col. of the 94th Reg.of the Pennsylvania militia in 1814, walnut stock with cartouche and sling swivels, US marked butt plate, 36" barrel.
Condition
Good overall condition as converted, all metal turning grey, stocks show normal handling marks, 2" loss between lock and upper tang. Two small cracks at upper tang, loss forward of side plate.
