Harry Clarke(British, 1891-1931), watercolor and graphite portrait of a woman dancer, signed middle right "Harry Clarke", 18 1/4" x 12 3/4". Provenance: Collection of Alfred I du Pont, Nemours Mansion, Delaware(now a museum); descended in the family to the current owner.
Verso titled, inscribed and signed: "The Little Sno Maid", "She danced with such a step and air as none had ever done before.", "Harry Clarke". Laid down on mat board. Good condition. No apparent touch-ups or repairs. Provenance: Collection of Alfred I. du Pont, Nemours Mansion, Delaware (now a museum), descended in the family to the current owner.
