Harpers Ferry warrant signed by Fontaine Beckham, dated July 25, 1848, a Jefferson County, Virginia debtors warrant for Griffin Ward, owing a debt to Robert Russell, signed on the front F. Beckham. Fontaine Beckham was the Mayor of Harpers Ferry, and was killed during John Brown's raid of Harpers Ferry in 1859, accompanying this are two other Jefferson County debtors warrants, dated July 29, 1854 and December 15, 1854.
