Provenance: Askos - The Joseph Klein Collection, acquired between 1941 and 1980 and later purchased in 2013 from Artemission, London; First swan jug - purchased from C.J. Martin, London; Second swan jug - The Collection of Dr. Angelo R. Bergamo, New Jersey and later purchased in 2014 from Sands of Time Ancient Art, Washington DC. Lot includes associated paperwork. Intact. No apparent damages. Provenance: A Pennsylvania estate. All of the ancient art and antiquities in this sale are from the same estate. An ancient art specialist was brought in from New York to assist with authenticating and describing the pieces in the collection.
