A. Davis, 1797; Th Experience of William Apes, A Native of the Forest. Written By Himself, published in New York by the author, 1831; Captain Canot; or Twenty Years of an African Slaver, by Brantz Mayer, published by Appleton and Company, 1855; The New and Complete Universal Letter-Writer, by the Rev. Thomas Cook, printed in New York by G. & R. Waite, 1809; and a partially filled in 1865 pocket diary, which includes a fairly early description of the oil fields of western Pennsylvania, as well as reactions to the news of Lincolns Assassination.

Millennial Praises: spine repaired with tape, inside spine detached, pages with sporadic minor loss and staining. Spelling: boards with wear and loss, sporadic minor staining, inside hinge cracking. William Apes: spine with cracking and some loss, interior hinge repaired with tape, pages with some foxing. Canot: boards with some wear, a few pages loose, pages with some foxing. Letter-Writer: wear to boards, some foxing. Diary: good condition overall.
