George III mahogany veneered oak two-part linen press, ca. 1760, the upper section retaining its original wooden press, 80 1/2'' h., 46'' w. Property sold with the approval of the trustees of the Philadelphia Museum of Art to benefit acquisition funds.
Small patch to rear edge of side cornice. A few chips/losses to moldings. Originally fitted with pediment. Feet possibly early replacements.
