George III mahogany knife box, late18th c., the serpentine front top with herringbone inlaid edge and star inlaid interior, 14 1/2" h., 9" w., 9 3/4" d.
Lacking lock clasp. Minor veneer cracking. Repaired blowout to hinge. New blocking in interior. 1" patch to rear of base. Fitted interior with slots.
