French flintlock blunderbuss, 1 3/4" bore, the lock inscribed Marseille, with engraved side lock, remains of wire inlay on stock, 18 1/4" barrel. Provenance: The Firearms & Militaria Collection of Robert Spangler Jr., West Chester, Pennsylvania.
Fair overall condition, all metal grey turning brown, trigger guard has been replaced, losses and some replacements to wire inlay, lacking a screw in side plate. Bore looks good. There are two cracks from the lock to the upper tang which have been pinned. There is a large crack through the comb of stock, which has also been pinned.
