Frederick A. Muhlenberg signed pay order, dated 1782, to Jacob Carpenter for a day's attendance in Assembly and mileage, together with a Timothy Pickering franking signature as postmaster, dated 1794.
Muhlenberg - creases with separation and tape marks, toning, large area of top edge detached. Pickering - small hole from wax, toning, creases, small losses at crease.
