Set of four Pennsylvania Queen Anne walnut dining chairs, ca. 1760, each with a shell carved crest, solid splat, and shell carved knees, featuring unusual scrolled intaglio carved pad feet. Provenance: These chairs were purchased from a direct descendant of Lieutenant Colonel John (Jack) Laurens, aide-de-camp to General George Washington during the American Revolution.

Condition

Overall very good condition. All with replaced slip seats and tack holes to underside of seat frame from webbing. ONe chair with some heavier wear to front legs.
