Federal mahogany tall post bed, ca. 1795, with square tapering rear posts and reeded front posts with foliate carving and Marlborough feet, 91" h., 60" w., 77" d.
American. Old break to upper block of left foot post. Great old surface. 12" long patch to top right side of headboard. Testor probably late 19th c., bolts do not fit well. Birch rails. Walnut headboard.
