English engraved silver tea caddy, 1780-1781, bearing the touch AL, possibly August LeSage, the underside inscribed a Present from Mr. Chas. Turner to Mrs. Davison for her Husbands Courage & Conduct in Preserving a Cargo of C.B. Lead from being taken by a French Privateer on the Norfolk Coast last Autumn, 4 3/4" h., 4 3/4" w.
