Enfield, Connecticut William & Mary child's painted pine blanket chest, ca. 1730, the lift lid with cotter pin hinges over a case with single drawer, and later ball feet, retaining an old brown painted surface, 26" h., 23" w., 12" d. Provenance: Pennypacker Auction.
Base replaced (probably had boot jack ends). Mid molding at drawer replaced. One side base molding replaced. Hardware replaced. Lacking locks. Rosehead nailed drawer.
