Early English execution broadside, printed 1696, titled A True Copy of the Papers Delivered By Sir John Friend and Sir William Parkyns to the Sheriffs of London and Middlesex at Tyburn, the Place of Execution, April the 3rd, 1696, Published by Authority, printed in London for William Rogers, at the Sun against St. Dunstans Church in Fleet-Street. Friend and Parkyns were Jacobite conspirators, tried and executed for high-treason, for their part in a plan to kidnap or murder King William III of England. After their execution on Tower Hill, their heads were displayed to the public at Temple Bar in London. 8 3/4" x 13 1/2".
