Dr. Henry Perrine, United States Counsel at Compeche, signed letter, dated 16th, May, 1835, addressed to Mr. Burroughs, Esq., Counsel of the USA at Vera Cruz, regarding his personal feelings and advice, Mr. Perrine was killed on August 7th, 1840 from an Seminole Indian attack on Indian Key, Florida, Mr. Perrine was a physician and horticulturist, 10" x 8".
