Double arm adjustable brass candelabra, ca. 1780/1820, with burl wood base, 14 1/2" h., together with a wrought iron and brass adjustable candleholder, late 18th c., with circular base, 20 1/2" h. For a similar example, see Gentle & Feild, English Domestic Brass, plate 60. Provenance: Edgar & Charlotte Sittig 1954.
Wood base - 2" chip on edge. Plinth is of the period.
