Diminutive Massachusetts Federal mahogany tall case clock, ca. 1805, the eight-day works signed S. Willard, the Roxbury case with open fretwork, brass finials encasing an eight-day movement with sailship boss, over a waist door with stop fluted quarter columns with brass capitols, all supported by ogee feet, 86 3/4" h. According to the accompanying documentation, this clock was made for the marriage of Lucretia Phipps and James Baxter in 1808.

Condition

Parts: pendulum, two weights. Overall very good condition. Loss to line inlay in door. Chip to top left corner of base panel. A couple repaired cracks to feet. Pook & Pook does not guarantee clocks to be complete or in working condition.
