Delaware Valley Queen Anne cherry armchair, ca. 1755, with scrolled handholds and a rush seat, supported by cabriole legs terminating in trifid feet. Property sold with the approval of the trustees of the Philadelphia Museum of Art to benefit acquisition funds.
Crest reattached with some repaired breaks and patches, splat is walnut, peg added for support at back stretcher.
