Daniel Peterman (York County, Pennsylvania, 1797-1871), vibrant ink and watercolor fraktur birth certificate dated 1834 for Wilhelm Keller, the central script flanked by two female figures holding trailing vines with perched birds below stylized hearts and flowers and a central vignette of a woman, signed lower right, 12 1/2" x 15 3/4". This is the finest example of Peterman's work we have ever offered.
Sporadic small stains. Small loss to upper right corner. Not examined out of frame.
