Connecticut Chippendale cherry two-part secretary desk, ca. 1775, the upper section with a broken arch pediment with star carved rosettes and tombstone panel doors, resting on a base with a fall front, retaining an excellent old surface, 87" h., 39" w.
Crack in lid. One finial replaced. Very small chip to valence. Hinges replaced on fall front. Original brasses. Nice old dry surface. Overall very good condition.
